Daffy’s at 34th street and 6th Av. is in Herald Center, Manhattan. Once you enter this building, straight ahead is Journey’s (another entrance opens to the 34th Street), on the left the escalator leads up. On the first floor is “Staples” the stationary store. On the right there are elevators which take you directly to Daffy’s – on the 7th floor. Daffy’s occupies  4 floors. 7th floor is Men’s clothing, 6th and 5th have women’s clothing and below that Kids’. With abundant stock almost everybody would be able to pick up something catering to their fashion preference. All the latest and trendy apparel can be obtained here without paying through your nose. The design and finishing is good. The prices better! In fact in some cases, here you can pick up the same stuff as at Macy’s for less than half the price. Of course, you would not get the kind of customer service you get at Macy’s. At Daffy’s the items marked “final sale” cannot be returned. Hence it is better if you are sure you want the items with these tags. Daffy’s also has some system of part payment. Pay part of the amount now and the rest later. The rules can be checked at Daffy’s. Items bought under this scheme also cannot be returned.

In NYC, Daffy’s is also located at 5th &18th st., 57th between Park Av. & Lexington, 44th st. & Madison av., Broadway & Grand St.
Daffy’s was started as Daffy Dan’s Bargain Town in 1961 in Elizabeth, New Jersey by Irving Shulman. Its forte was the low price on everything in store, though the designs were meant to match the latest trends. The stress is to give “exceptional value” to the customers “on sophisticated, high quality, fashionable merchandise”.
One can get really good deals here – though it might not be great at all times. But there is generally so much stock that if you dig enough you are bound to come across something you like.
