Conway – New York City Shopping
Macy’s alone would take a full day if you want to make some serious purchases. If you are done there and are looking for real cheap stuff, come out through the main Broadway entrance (or the 35th st. entrance), walk to the 35th street and Broadway corner and you would reach Conway. This store has all kind of women’s and men’s clothing and accessories and inner wear. And they are CHEAP. The finishing might not be great but then you are paying less too. So if your aim is to just increase your wardrobe with plenty of stuff without caring about brands et al, this place will be heavenly for you. The display is unappealing. Clothes and other products would be strewn all over – you would have to hunt things out. That is also fun sometimes. The almost non-existent aisles are due to the overflowing stock. But you would find almost all types of clothing, towels, sheets, comforters, socks, belts, bags – all dirt cheap. Some tops cost as less as $3-$4. It’s a real bargain. But you might encounter huge lines at the counter. The stocks also change often – so that’s gives you reason to go back!
There is another Conway on 34th street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Yet another Conway is there after 7th Avenue on 34th Street. If you walk the length of Macy’s on 34th and cross 7th Ave. and continue further you would come across this store on the right.
So hoard up!
